What better way to kick off your holiday season than with family, food, and fun? The Quad Cities offers activities to keep your family busy Thanksgiving Weekend! Whether it’s the Turkey Trot run or a show at ComedySportz, you’re bound to find something the whole family will love!

Join the YMCA as they put on the Scott County Family Y McCarthy Bush Turkey Trot on Thursday, Nov. 26 at 8:30 a.m. With lots of race options, you won’t feel guilty about the delicious Thanksgiving dinner that you’ll enjoy later in the day! Register for the 5 Mile Certified Run/Walk or 1-Mile Family Fun Run. Other races include the 2-Person Relay and the Les Mills Mash-Up!

AWL8What better way to get into the holiday spirit than with this classic? With shows from Nov. 13- Dec. 27, you and the family have plenty of time to watch A Wonderful Life come alive at the Circa ’21 Dinner Playhouse. George Bailey’s story remains a timeless tale of dreams, love, and the extraordinary lives of ordinary people.

ComedySportz is fun for the whole family! Head on down to The Establishment in Rock Island on Friday or Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and enjoy the show! Featuring two teams of comedians, each competing for points and laughs! A referee calls the fouls and helps to keep the match on point. Here’s where the fun comes in, you are the judge and decide the winner!

Quad City MallardsCheer on the Mallards at the iWireless Center either Friday or Saturday at 7:05 p.m. Deals and promotions each night! Friday will feature $1 dogs and $1 beer presented by 97X. Saturday night will feature the Genesis Blackout Jersey Auction. Or end the weekend with a game on Sunday because the Mallards play at 4:00 p.m.

This year marks the 26th anniversary of the Quad City Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair. Don’t miss out on the largest arts and crafts in the area! (More than 10,500 in attendance!) You’re bound to find unique, quality gifts from country crafts to fine arts. The fair will be at the QCCA Expo Center in Rock Island from Nov. 27-29. Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The annual fundraiser for Quad City Arts, attractions range from holiday displays, Tinsel Treasures Gift Shop, the North Pole, CenterStage and much more! Head down to the River Center in Davenport and help support Quad City Arts while making memories with your family! It is open Fri.-Sun. Thanksgiving Weekend.

Armed with nothing but their sharp wit, comedians Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood take to the live stage at the Adler Theatre to create hilarious and original scenes in their two-man show.  Known by TV audiences for their work on Whose Line is it Anyway?, Colin & Brad will improvise new material on Friday, November 27 at 7:00 p.m. from audience suggestions and participation.

What better way to end your Thanksgiving weekend than with Christmas at the Walnut Grove Pioneer Village? On Sunday from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., Christmas at the Village features the beautifully decorated Village and Friends of the Village in period costume. You can also enjoy craft demonstrations and sales, letters to Santa, refreshments holiday music, and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Admission is free with a food pantry donation.
