If you love music and you love spending time outdoors, the Quad Cities has tons of can’t-miss concerts for the entire family.
My husband and I have enjoyed outdoor concerts for years in parks across Illinois and Iowa. It was one of our favorite parts of summertime in the QC. When my son came along, we couldn’t wait to bring him along.
It is a raw food, vegan, allergy-friendly, and gluten free establishment that is more than just a place to grab a bite. The owner, Clay Graft, and the employees genuinely care about the health of your body and the fuel you put into it.
This year, resolve to do something each month with your family in the Quad Cities. These mini adventures will be a great way to try new things and have lots of fun along the way!
You won’t even believe you are in Davenport – the city park feels like a rural oasis. My family recently spent the morning hiking the park (which is easy enough for my 4-year-old to complete on his own two feet).
Now, the Quad Cities is jumping on the bandwagon to provide their own Comic Con event this summer. With over 100 artists, special guests and exhibitions, the event is sure to be a hit. It will take place Saturday, June 4th from 10-6 and Sunday, June 5th from 10-5.
QC Family Entertainment in Moline has quickly become our favorite stop for a family fun night. And with winter break in full swing, this is a great spot to work off some of that pent-up cold weather energy!
It’s almost that time of year where the temperatures rise and the sun shines brightly down on then QC. And what better way is there to welcome summer vacation than heading out to cool off in our local pools?
We recently spent a morning checking out the newest exhibition – The Art of Architecture. The exhibit includes large scale models made from LEGO® bricks by Architect Adam Reed Tucker. One of only 14 LEGO® Certified Professionals in the world, Tucker creates architectural models that become the basis for new LEGO kits and other products.
My family loves to enjoy dinner out at one of the many Quad-Cities area restaurants with outdoor seating. We enjoy these patios throughout spring, summer and early fall.
If you crave good food with a river view and an outdoor dining experience, I highly recommend the Driftwood which offers the best view of the river in the Quad Cities.
What are you looking forward to most in 2017?
