Try A Tantalizing Mix Of Thai Flavors On The Mississippi River

January can be grey and dreary in the Midwest but Brian and I found a warm spot to enjoy lunch a few weeks ago. Sriracha Thai Bistro & Oyster Bar is a new restaurant in Moline, located in the lower level of the The Mills at Riverbend Commons apartment complex next to Western Illinois University. With a view of the Mississippi River and a quiet and beautifully designed interior, the restaurant was a welcoming change from the many acoustically-challenged choices in the area.

The entrance was enticing with its two large textural glass doors. Once inside we were welcomed by a host who took us past an upscale bar and fresh seafood displayed in a case. The interior was elegant but we were comfortable coming in casual attire.

There was a fine mix of music playing as we looked over the menu which included appetizers, salads, soup, oysters, clams, other seafood, Asian fire grill, wok fried rice, Siam curry, noodles, stir fry, and dessert. We decided to try selections from the varied lunch menu which included beautifully presented food as well as unique blendings of flavors.

After enjoying our lunch and being personally greeted by the owner, we were shown the rest of the interior space. We were impressed by the artistic attention to detail and the ambiance of Sriracha Thai Bistro & Oyster Bar. The view of the Mississippi River was a bonus that enticed us to make plans to return for drinks and appetizers soon.
