Arrive in the Quad Cities and head to Lavender Crest Winery for a leisurely afternoon of wine tasting, a nice lunch and if you like, a wine tour for just $5 per person. Lavender Crest Winery is located on 9 acres in Colona, Illinois, on Highway 6. It is a casual place to enjoy outside dining as well as indoor dining. Both offer a lush view of the vineyard.
Visit Creekside Vineyards Inn & Wine Terrace weekends from 1-6pm, May-October, for outdoor Wine Tastings, light fare, yoga, live music, a painting class, or a vineyard tour. Drive down a winding road along rolling hills and trees to the Inn and Terrace where there is a fire pit and beautiful views. Also visit Creekside Vineyards Winery & Tasting Room year round or enjoy a stay at Creekside Vineyards Inn.
Wide River Winery has a view of the Mississippi River in its Clinton, Iowa, location. Take a glass of wine with you on the bluff trail and come back to enjoy live music. The Clinton location houses both the winery and original tasting room, as well as 7 acres of vineyards. It has a large partially covered deck with views of the Mississippi River at its widest point. This winery has two other locations in LeClaire, Iowa, and in the Village of East Davenport in Davenport, Iowa. All locations offer daily wine tastings in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
The Grape Life Wine Store & Lounge in Davenport, Iowa, is known for its warm atmosphere with intimate music and tasting events in the evenings. Wednesday’s weekly Wine Downs are from 5-8 pm. Buy a glass of wine and get a free chair massage!
Cru in downtown Davenport, Iowa, offers a “casual social club” atmosphere with high ceilings covered in vintage ceiling tiles. The wall behind the stainless steel bar is floor to ceiling shelves of various wines.
Element Tea & Wine Lounge is another Quad Cities favorite. The new lounge in Davenport, Iowa, has a relaxing and elegant ambiance with a varied menu of desserts, appetizers, wine, and tea. Element also has wine flights.
