Element Tea & Wine Lounge

I recently had the chance to visit Element Tea & Wine Lounge located at 5345 Belle Court, Suite 4 in Davenport, Iowa. Since opening earlier this year, I have heard many good things and decided to check it out myself. I took a break in a very busy day and it was a perfect choice. It was a peaceful, quiet environment and with a helpful and respectful staff.

I’m not a big tea drinker, so I’m not well versed in different types and origins. Thankfully the server was very helpful in walking me through all of the options and I didn’t feel intimidated at all.

I started out my visit with the White Ginger Pear, a white tea with sweet pear and ginger alongside an order of the Spinach Artichoke Dip. The presentation of the tea was impressive! It came plated with a traditional teacup while my teapot was kept warm by the flame of a tea candle.

The tea had a sweet, wonderful aroma with complex flavors from the pear and ginger with hints of banana and caramel. The spinach dip was served with soft, fluffy pita bread and had a nice, creamy texture. Both were delicious and they gave me extra bread when I ran out.

Since I was enjoying my visit too much to leave, I decided to order another course. It’s only right to try several different options when writing a review of a place! This time I went red – red wine and red velvet cake. Element sells wine by the glass, half bottle, or bottle and you can buy bottles to go too.

I chose a glass of Merlot from California, Coppola Diamond; the description given was, “Jammy fruit mingles vanilla, mocha, and toasty oak.” That sounded great to pair with the cake. Oh the cake! 4 layers with cream cheese frosting and a layer of chocolate truffle, it was wonderful.

Element has a lot to offer, from teas to wines (and a few craft beers) to savory snacks and desserts, there are lots of reasons to visit. They have a seating area outside, and throw wine tasting evenings and host private events. If you’re looking for a place, whether it’s to have a nice glass of wine or have your next party, consider Element Tea & Wine Lounge.
