Stretch out your weary bones from late night fireworks. Lace up those running shoes, and fuel that body with water and food (and maybe bring a portable fan post-race) because it’s time for the annual 4th of July Firecracker Run in downtown East Moline.
The race, which takes place in the heat of summer temps, bring runners from all over the Quad Cities to walk, run and push their little ones in strollers in a 5K (3.1 miles) and 10K (6.2 miles) through the heart of downtown East Moline on July 4th. Don’t let that summer weather dissuade you from joining in — it’s beyond exciting, and includes a post race party. The race also entails a Kiddie Run, Hospital Bed Races and much more that you can discover on their website.
Registration prices are listed here.
So, come on down on Tuesday, July 4th at 7:30AM and join in the fun!
