Downtown Moline, Illinois, is alive with restaurants, brew pubs and locally owned shops. The area has been rejuvenated over the past several years with attractive signage and equally attractive businesses. Moline is the home of John Deere and the John Deere Pavilion is only a few blocks from one of my favorite restaurants, LemonGrass Cafe.

The music scene in the Quad Cities has, in my opinion, been going through a renaissance period. From many new venues opening up to different people booking talent on both sides of the river, there is a diverse mix of talent being featured all over.

On a recent walk in downtown Davenport, Iowa, I came across a business that I had not seen or heard of before: COWORKQC, located at 102 2nd Street. Out of curiosity, I decided to venture inside.
Labor Day Weekend in the Quad Cities is always filled with fun festivities, picnics, last minute pool splashes and (hopefully) great weather. But, of course, none of it would be complete without the annual parades in Rock Island and East Moline.
