COWORKQC – A Shared Workspace

On a recent walk in downtown Davenport, Iowa, I came across a business that I had not seen or heard of before: COWORKQC, located at 102 2nd Street. Out of curiosity, I decided to venture inside.

It’s a beautiful, open space with different workspaces situated throughout, but there wasn’t anyone inside when I stopped in, but a few people holding a meeting who didn’t seem to pay me any mind. In the kitchenette area, I found a promotional sheet detailing what exactly COWORKQC is – a shared workspace and community center for those who operate in non-traditional jobs or business environments or are looking for alternative place to create.

It’s an innovative idea for the area, but perfect for so many types of people. From entrepreneurs, to start-ups, freelancers, remote workers or those traveling for business, COWORKQC has a lot of different amenities to offer.

There are different types of workspaces, from shared to private desks, different sized offices and conference rooms, you can choose and schedule out your needs depending upon your business demands. There’s high-speed WiFi, basic office supplies and a printer, a kitchenette, and the option for a mailing address.

COWORKQC operates on a membership basis, of which they have multiple options. You can just occasionally drop-in, or upgrade to different times of the day, on a more regular basis, depending upon what your needs is.

There are also intangible benefits associated as well, a form of “organic networking”. Members independently work alongside one another though have the opportunity to cross paths with like-minded individuals utilizing the same space.

COWORKQC also offers events to out to members and nonmembers, hosted by those who work there about what they’re doing or sharing best practices of the space.

COWORKQC is an example in forward thinking for the evolving atmosphere of the business world, accommodating all styles of workers and the work they do. If it sounds like something you’d be interested, call (563) 265-0958 or visit their website here to schedule a visit.
