Sunny Trails Provides Great Horseback Riding Experience

It was a delightful and sunny day horseback riding at Sunny Trails in Sherrard, IL! For the past couple of years I’ve been searching for a place to take our kids horseback riding. Most of the stables I’ve contacted either have a regular lesson requirement or a minimum age well past our 3, 6, and 8 year olds. How happy were we to find Sunny Trails!

Organized by our daycare, we took 6 kids aged 2 through 8 and they had a fabulous time! There were gentle horses, age appropriate helmets, and even little kid stirrups that wrapped around the pommel for shorter legs. Since the kids were too young to do any kind of trail ride, they set up some obstacle course games and a couple of “barn rides” both in and outside. It was fantastic!!

Even our 3 year old felt safe and comfortable!

Their business card suggests Sunny Trials is perfect for Birthday Parties (picnic area available) and First Time Riders. They also have opportunities for more experienced riders and those that want to do trail rides. The staff was exceptional – from the owner to the younger staff leading the horses – they were gracious and kind. I would highly recommend Sunny Trails for any level of rider. Our boys can hardly wait to go riding again!

Check out their facebook page (see some fantastic photos) or give them a call to schedule a fun riding experience for young and old alike!
