Annual Quad Cities Jaycees Bridal Expo

When you’re getting married, the planning a wedding can seem overwhelming. Of course, you’re as happy as can be, marrying the love of your life, but when the budget comes into play and the venue choices seem endless — it can leave brides and grooms in a dizzy time crunch trying to go from one place to another to gather information to assist in planning their dream wedding.

In the world of wedding planning, a “one-stop shop” for this information is an ideal for busy couples attempting to narrow down their search before driving all over the surrounding area.

In 1985, a local chapter of young professionals decided that the Quad Cities needed a bridal expo that could hold all of the area’s wedding vendors under one roof. An organization built on the ideals of using personal and professional relationships within the community to grow, serve and expand the area, our local Jaycees organization was able to get handful of local retailers to be apart of this blossoming idea, which has now become the largest bridal expo in the QC area.

To top it off, all entry proceeds go to provide Christmas presents for over a thousand local underprivileged children and other child- and family-centered causes throughout the Quad Cities.

Since 2011, the Quad Cities Jaycees Bridal Expo has been named the top fundraising project in the nation by the national Jaycees organization.

This year the Quad Cities Jaycees Bridal Expo takes place on Saturday, January 27 from 9am to 3pm at the RiverCenter in downtown Davenport. Tickets are $12 in advance, and $14 at the door on the day of the event. For more information and online tickets, visit their website.
