Easter Egg Activities 2018

Here are a few egg hunts taking place this year in the region. There are options are for all ages – and many are free for kids and families.  Bring a basket or bag to gather eggs!

Underwater Egg Hunt

There will be eggs at the bottom and top of the water for a NEW egg hunt on Sunday, March 18 from 1-3:30 pm at the Rock Island Fitness & Activity Center.  Check scheduled times frames by age.  Stop by the photo booth for a photo with a very special guest and enjoy a coloring contest and games!  Participants must pre-register.

Eco Egg Hunt with GPS!

What an awesome idea for our tech-savvy kids.  Celebrate spring at Nahant Marsh in Davenport on Saturday, March 31.  Children can participate in either a hide-and seek egg hunt (great for younger children) or a GPS Scavenger egg hunt (best for older children).

There will also be a variety of nature themed hands-on activities where children and their families will learn about local wildlife. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Each child that participate in the egg hunts will receive a bag of educational and eco-friendly goodies. Registration is recommended. This is a fundraising event and all proceeds go to support environmental education and natural resource projects. The egg hunts will run from 9:00-11:00 a.m.

Nighttime Egg Hunt

It’s like flashlight tag but with eggs instead!  Kids, ages 9-12, are invited to join us on Saturday, March 24 for this fun, spring event, Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt! Candy laden eggs will be hidden around Riverside Park Field in Moline for kids to discover. Please bring your own flashlights. The hunt will begin at 8:00 p.m.

Traditional Egg Hunts

Thousands of colorful eggs will fill Lincoln Park for the annual Rock Island Parks & Recreation Spring Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 24 at 9:30 am sharp.  Bring your bags and baskets to gather eggs scattered throughout the age appropriate hunt areas.

Join Mayor Gallagher at this year’s Bettendorf Easter Egg Extravaganza. The event will be held on Saturday, March 31 at 12 noon at a new location, Bettendorf High School Stadium, 3333 18th Street.  There will be a bounce house, crafts, games, Easter Egg Hunt and of course, the Easter Bunny. The Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Don’t miss out on the 14th Annual Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by Moline Municipal Credit Union on Saturday, March 24 at Riverside Park in Moline! Kids ages 8 and under are invited to hunt for 12,000 candy-filled eggs and receive a visit from a special bunny! This fun event is FREE and open to the public from 9:15-11 am.

On Saturday, March 31 from 11am-1pm, LeClaire Park & Rec hosts their Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Hollyhock Park, 201 N. 6th Street. Egg hunt starts promptly at 11am; bring your own basket. Enjoy food, music, bounce house, and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Eggstra! Eggstra! Read all about it! Your favorite neighborhood grocery store is hosting the healthiest Easter egg hunt around on Friday, March 30 from 11 am-2 pm at Natural Grocers in Davenport! Hop on over to one of our eggclusive good4U events, featuring kid-friendly activities & prizes. Get those Easter baskets ready! All ages welcome.

Spring Craft Market

The annual Eiermarkt Spring Craft Fair is back at the German American Heritage Center on Saturday, April 7 from 10 am-2 pm.  Visit all the local vendors to find some treats, goodies, and local crafts this Easter season!  Admission is free for the craft fair; no ticket needed!  The Craft Fair will be on the 4th floor of the German American Heritage Center.

Easter Egg Scramble

While the main focus for this event will be the 5K run/walk on Saturday, March 31 in the Village of East Davenport.  There will also be an Easter Egg Hunt starting at 10:15 a.m. at the Post-Race Party Zone for kids registered for the Bunny Hop.

Easter Lilies Display

The Vander Veer Conservatory in Davenport is famous for its 100-year tradition of providing gardens under glass for your-round viewing. One of their seasonal favorite displays is the Easter Lilies on display from March 27 to around April 10. The greenhouses at Vander Veer are open to the public for strolling and enjoying the production side of conservatory display. The Conservatory at Vander Veer is located at 215 W Central Park in Davenport. Hours are 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Tuesday through Sunday. Closed on Monday.
