ComedySportz Quad Cities – A Fun Night of Funny!

ComedySportz Quad Cities is a fun evening for the whole family (well, maybe not the babies, but most everyone else). Two teams of comedians square off in a competition of funny. The blue team and the red team compete in a variety of improv games with the audience judging the funniest team in each round. At the end of all the rounds they tally the points and the best team wins! Additional humor is added by the referee, “Mr. Voice” from the sound booth, and hilarious memes and gifs on the big screen.

The referee seeks suggestions from the audience to get the scene started. Sometimes guests even join the comedians on stage. Because the games and audience suggestions are different each evening, no show is the same twice! We love it because it’s a family-friendly show so the language and jokes are appropriate for all ages. There’s usually a lot of physical humor and we often catch ourselves later re-telling the jokes or parts of skits that were especially funny.

We took our son to ComedySportz with his friends for his 9th birthday and had a great time. They called those celebrating birthdays to the front and sang a fun song. They even put his name on the marquee – he was thrilled!

There is a bar with $4 bottomless souvenir soft drink and Icee cups as well as alcoholic beverages for sale. Guests can order pizza from Huckleberry’s in Rock Island (I’d forgotten how tasty their pizza is – SO good!) for delivery before the show or during half time.

Shows are Friday and Saturday nights at 7:00.
Tickets are $12
ComedySportz Quad Cities is located at: 220 19th Street in Rock Island
They often sell out so be sure to call ahead for reservations!
After the ComedySportz show audience members over 18 are often invited to stay for the late show for free if they have availability. Nice!
