Cup A Jo: Great Food, Great Drink, Great Service!

When I am running errands in downtown Moline, Illinois, my place to go is Cup A Jo Cafe. Open for over 12 years, Cup A Jo serves breakfast, lunch, and bakery items with coffee and tea specialties as well as Italian soda, hot chocolate, and organic Oregon black Chai tea. Their menu offers fresh salads, 14 sandwiches, soup, and various hot and cold breakfast/bakery items.

For those, like myself, who enjoy outdoor eating on warmer days, there is a cozy eating area in the front which is nice for people watching and getting your sunny dose of vitamin D.

The interior of Cup A Jo’s is warm and inviting with vibrantly colored walls with artfully lettered coffee related quotes. The tables are unique and artistic which adds to the charm of the cafe.

Pricing is excellent with nothing over $10.00. My favorite sandwich is their house specialty, chicken salad, which is made from freshly-cooked chicken breast, red grapes, and celery hearts mixed with their own dressing and served with tomatoes and sprouts on a huge flaky croissant. I get a hot specialty latte to go with the sandwich and I’m fine for hours!
