Ming Wah Chinese Restaurant, a family owned business, has been a staple restaurant for me for over 15 years. I remember going to their first restaurant, The Golden Wok, in East Moline. From there Poi and her husband moved to the present location in Moline. The restaurant is in close proximity to many businesses and residential neighborhoods. The thing that keeps me returning to Ming Wah is the use of less oil and fresh and healthy ingredients in their dishes.

Helium Trampoline Park in Eldridge, Iowa, definitely lives up to its tagline of Iowa’s FUN park. We went with a dozen 7-year-olds for a birthday party and it was definitely tons of FUN!
- Dozens and dozens of rectangular trampolines.
- Trampolines with basketball hoops (my husband was very proud of his 5’10” dunking abilities)
- 2 dodgeball areas that were trampoline courts
- A 2 height ledge-fall onto a giant cushy pillow area
- Jousting over trampolines
As a lover of popcorn, “Popcorn Charlie” & Company is one of my favorite destinations in the Quad Cities. Popcorn, cheese corn and caramel corn are the reason that I visit. Located on the north west side of Davenport, Iowa, this store is packed to the ceiling with various popcorn treats and candy in all colors and flavors. The moment that I enter the building I am greeted by the enticing aroma of freshly popped popcorn.
The Quad Cities is a fine arts community. Whether a musical event or an art show, the design, attention to detail and promotional success has been grand. The bi-annual Beaux Arts Fair is no different as the crowds grow in the streets to discover the newest artist displays that the area has to offer.
Celebrating 65 years of the Beaux Arts Fundraising Committee and 51 years of the downtown festival, the Beaux Arts Fair is one of the longest-running art fairs in the Midwest.
The Quad Cities straddles the 4th largest river in the world and are we lucky! There are so many fun water adventures here, where the Mississippi River travels east to west and meets the Rock River. We also have lakes, ponds, dams, and more. Getting on the water is a must whether you are visiting or living in the QC.
Here are my 6 favorite ways to get on the water in the Quad Cities:
