Backyard Bowl & Abides Bar and Grill

Backyard Bowl & Abides Bar and Grill is now open at 2020 1st St. W. in Milan, Illinois, located where the old Milan Lanes was once housed. It has been upgraded in a lot of ways that make this a nice destination for all ages for a fun night out!

There are 14 lanes of high-tech bowling with several big screen televisions, so you won’t miss the game while playing! There is also an arcade with activities for all ages and a live stage for music. With a large second-floor area and patio, there are future plans to expand into other games, such as laser tag, bags, and shuffleboard.

Abides Bar and Grill has a wonderfully eclectic and ambitious food menu inspired by the movie, “The Big Lebowski”. They are serving cheeseburgers, sandwiches, and wood-fired pizzas with nods to the movie, in which bowling is a huge role.  Their signature pizza is called, “The Rug” featuring prosciutto, fig jam, and brie with pears and onions, or try “The Dude” burger, topped with bacon and pulled pork, or “The Walter”, a Bahn-Mi Vietnamese-style brat with a carrot relish, and  pickles, cucumbers, and cilantro.

Alongside the delicious food is a bar with a nice selection of craft beers as well as a signature cocktail list. There are also domestic beers for the classic bowling experience and a small selection of wines to choose from. Next to the dining area is a walk-up counter serving Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream from Wisconsin too.

Whether you’re looking for a fun and kitschy place for your next date, a place for brews and bowling with friends, or a fun night out with the family, Backyard Bowl and Abides Bar & Grill should be on your destination list. There’s plenty to do there and will only continue to grow with entertainment offerings for the Quad Cities Area. Keep posted on what’s coming up next by following their Facebook page here.
