Fresh Dining In Downtown Moline

Looking for a fine place to dine and drink? I suggest Fresh Eatery & Wine Bar in Downtown Moline. Moline is becoming the place to go for locally innovative restaurants and drink establishments. Recently my friends and I attended a production at The Black Box Theatre. Since Fresh is only a few block from the theatre we decided to try dinner there before the show.

The exterior of the restaurant is inviting and beautifully done with well designed signage and touches of potted plants and flowers. While the interior has an industrial feel with a splash of color given by a fresh Gerbera daisy at each table. I hadn’t been to the restaurant since it had been redesigned and I found the new look to be more intimate and attractive with attention to every detail.

My friends and I found the menu to be creative and unusual. We enjoyed the signature appetizer dish, cream cheese pickle platter. A slice of this special pickle item is added to every plate. Their soup is flavorful and colorful . The Gouda and red pepper is a signature soup. The salads are large and full of tasty fresh items. I would have to say that the fruity chicken salad is my favorite menu choice.

Other menu items include appetizers, from the garden items, wraps, sandwiches, burgers, various sides, flat breads, fajitas, tacos, quesadilla wraps, a little sprouts kids menu, sweet treats, various alcoholic drinks, coffee drinks, and a pick-two lunch menu.

Freshly blended drinks, sangria and wine are popular choices with meals. Cupcakes are another signature item and come in both a huge size and a 3 mini cupcake platter. With the mini cupcake option there is always room for dessert!

To add to the mix of food and drink, craft workshops given by local artisans have been added to appeal to a larger audience. Workshops in various mediums  are held. Registration is necessary  and food and drinks are always available as you work on your projects. Facebook has the listing of workshops as they become available.

If you are looking for a casual place with upscale ambiance and freshly made food, I suggest Fresh Eatery & Wine Bar.

Their philosophy: “Café fresh eatery & wine bar was created to be a place unlike any other, a place that is not just a job for our team, or just a meal for our guests.
