Hot Glass Inc. Is Vibrant and Glowing

Hot Glass Inc. in downtown Davenport renovated their space now with an expanded area for glass production, private classes, couple classes, and corporate team building events.  The industrial feel of the exterior seems dark and mysterious, but the interior is warm and alive.  With the excitement of the artisans demonstrating glass blowing, it was like entering another world of blazing fire and vibrant art glass.

The Quad Cities is one of very few areas nearby to have access to a glass studio. Hot Glass Inc. is “a hands-on, non-profit shop dedicated to the instruction of the contemporary glass art movement.” What makes the business unique is their focus on Veterans and Youth team building. The process of glass production teaches the necessary life skills of “communication, teamwork, decision-making, and teamwork.”

It Takes Teamwork!

For those who want to experiment in the art of glass making there are three ways to try the art form:

1. There are private one on one classes where you can make paperweights, bowls and vases. There are also special seasonal classes for ornaments, pumpkins, eggs, and heart designs.

2. There are couples classes for friends or partners.

3. Finally, there are corporate team building events.

Support the arts in the Quad Cities and try glass blowing.
