“Master Chef-like” Battle Cooking on Feb. 24

Gordon Ramsay’s spirit is gracing the Quad Cities with his presence — or should I say, spirit of competition? No, the world-renowned chef and television personality is not coming to our Midwestern town, but the essence of the battles seen on his MasterChef television series will be headed towards Rock Island in late February.

Kicking off the Quad Cities Restaurant Week, this battle has been seen as the starting block for the food-filled extravaganza that has us rolling out of restaurants with bellies full of joy. Not only do the best chefs in town come to cook, but with both general admission and VIP tickets, locals can sample from chefs, grab a cocktail, and vote for the crowd favorite. All residents are told to keep watch at the Chef Battle Quad Cities website and Facebook page to see the latest culinary extraordinaire additions to the list for the weekend.

On Sunday, February 24th, leave cooking to the pros and indulge in a life of luxury at a $40/person general admission price. Now on the Illinois side of the Quad Cities, the event is set to take place from 12PM-5PM at the Jumer’s Casino & Hotel, located at 777 Jumer Drive in Rock Island.
