Doggy Days at Bent River in Rock Island

“It was great to sit with a bunch of people with whom we knew we had something in common. We all loved dogs. We all loved beer.” It was a perfect place to meet some new friends,” says Rock Island resident Robb McCoy.

He and his wife, Sarah, took their Instafamous dog, Baxter (@baxtermac_kindof_a_big_deal) to Doggy Days in August and he loved meeting some of his fans and fellow four-legged friends.

It was like going to the dog park; but more fun for us and more frustrating for Baxter. He wanted to run and play with his new friends. We enjoyed sitting and having a beer with our new friends. (Here, I’m enjoying a Mississippi Blonde, perfect for a warm summer day.)

Bent River Brewing Company in Rock Island invites you and your pooch to Doggy Days, a series of fun events that includes your four-legged friends.

Bent River hosts Doggy Days
at 512 24th Street, Rock Island, IL
on Sundays – September 1 & 15, October 6 & 20
from Noon  – 4 p.m.

What could be better than a beverage for you and treats for your dog? Probably, knowing the event raises money for local animal shelters.

Raffle baskets and donations will collect money to benefit different shelters across the Quad Cities. Other fun on the Doggy Days includes dog tricks and trivia, and, of course, access to some of the best beer the QC has to offer.

“It is a fun and well attended event. Everyone loved meeting new friends, even the humans. There were raffles, pet treats, music and good drinks. The Bent River patio is the perfect place to enjoy a cold drink (special dog ale offered, too) with all our friends, ” explains Sarah.

So, pack up your four- and two-legged friends and head to Bent River and enjoy Doggy Days this fall!
