QC Holiday Light Displays

There are 6 less days between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, and everyone has been itching to turn on the holiday lights. Well…the lights are definitely on now so plan your driving tour and December nights at these popular Quad Cities locations. Or book a light tour with a local limo or trolley company.

Winter Nights Winter Lights

The outdoor gardens of the Quad City Botanical Center are in winter bloom this December with 100,000 glowing lights during Winter Nights Winter Lights. Bundle up and stroll the gardens at night from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday starting December 4, 2019.  Then come inside to warm up at the hot chocolate bar.  Bring the kids for crafts and cocoa or plan your visit on a special event day.

Also open Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and the night of New Year’s Day. Exhibit ends January 4, 2020.

Winter Nights Winter Lights Admission: Adults 16+: $8; Youth 2-15: $4; Under 2: Free.  Members of the Quad City Botanical Center receive a $2 discount.

Visit from Santa: Enjoy the Winter Nights Winter Lights display on December 13-14.  Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus from 5-8 p.m. and take your photos.

Date Nights: Enjoy live music and seasonal cocktails at the cash bar on December 5 and 19.

Christmas Lights at Vander Veer Park

The Poinsettia and Lights display has officially opened and will close on January 10. The conservatory is open 10 am-4 pm. Extended hours and open until 7 pm for the Conservatory are Saturday nights ONLY on the following dates: December 7, 14, and 21. There are outdoor lights in the park too.

Fejervary Holiday Lights

Fejervary Learning Center, 1800 W. 12th St., Davenport, Iowa, has a new holiday light show through January 4. It’s free to park and watch. Turn your radio to 107.5 FM to sync with the holiday lights music broadcast.

Times: 5:30 – 9:30 PM (shows last 15 minutes and run every half-hour beginning at 5:30 PM)

Directions: Enter on W. 12th St and follow the directional signs. Attendees may park at the listed locations. Accessible parking is labeled and located directly across from the learning center. Exit by following the loop around the west side of the learning center and down Wilkes Ave.

German American Heritage Center

Their windows create a lighted Advent calendar using designs from students at Davenport’s Creative Arts Academy. A new window is lit up each night. See all the windows until Jan. 6 at 712 W. 2nd Street, Davenport.

Henry’s Christmas Yard

This is a one-of-a-kind display with sooooo many inflatables. The giant Santa that’s taller than the two-story house is really impressive. You should stop and get out to see them all! Located at 1504 26th Avenue, Moline, IL.

Kall Christmas House

This light show syncs up up with your radio at 107.1 FM. It’s every night from 5:30-10:30 pm located at 1852 Westminster Circle, Davenport. See the schedule on their Facebook page.
