5 Things you need to know about this production:
The Adler Theatre was full of Harry Potter fans and symphony aficionados on Saturday for the Quad City Symphony Orchestra‘s live performance accompanying the entire film Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
It was fabulous and amazing and delightful. As 10-year-old Anora put it: “I don’t know if I can ever watch the movie without thinking about this experience!” Her 8-year-old brother was even more impressed, “This was a life changer!”
During the holiday season, the Quad Cities has many performances to get you into the holiday spirit. From theatre productions, The Nutcracker, and concerts, you won’t want to miss the festive presentations.
The Quad Cities offer a wide variety of theatre shows during Summer 2017 from Shakespeare to Disney and from the West Side to the Rock of Ages. You can applaud your way through the summer months out under the stars or inside under the lights. The venues and prices vary, but the history and creativity are certain!
For a chance to see rock legends in person, don’t miss The Moody Blues playing live at the Adler Theatre on Saturday, October 22. This show is not to be missed for fans of this iconic band! I can’t wait to see them live!
If you are a parent, you are very likely familiar with Peppa Pig. This show is a kid favorite found on Nick Jr. – following Peppa, her brother George, and their friends and family. The show reaches nearly 73 million households every day.
And after enjoying years of watching Peppa on television, my preschooler and I are thrilled to see Peppa LIVE at the Adler Theatre in Davenport.
There’s a reason that Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a show that has attracted crowds for decades (and continues to be one of my personal favorites). The family musical highlights the trials and triumphs of Joseph, Israel’s favorite son. And it’s just plain fun.
While enjoying the national tour of the show at the Adler Theatre on April 4, I was swept away in the magic once again.
This is the 101st year of the Quad City Symphony Orchestra and celebration is in the air! Since I was ready to get into the celebratory holiday mood, on Sunday, December 6, my friend and I attended Masterworks III: Winter Fun – Mozart and More! by the Quad City Symphony Orchestra. The Sunday symphony concerts are held at Centennial Hall at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. We came one hour early to enjoy the Concert Conversations with the music director and conductor, Mark Russell Smith. We found this an interesting informal introduction to the afternoon of music.
The Quad Cities has a delightfully busy schedule during a fun-filled holiday season. Read on for more performances, Christmas Walks, and more!
If you’ve never seen a live magic show, add The Illusionists to your bucket list.
I’ve never been to Las Vegas, but I think this show gave me a great (Midwest) taste of the strip! There were magical illusions that kept you guessing. There were mysteries that kept you asking, “How?”
First, I tried to figure out how everything was happening. Where was a trap door? Is that a new person? What just happened?
