David B. Sears: The Pioneer of Water Power on the Mississippi River. Led by Frank Edge, Historian. Tuesday, June 12 and Thurs, June 14, 2018 at 9:00 AM- 10:45 AM. Learn about one of Moline's earliest settlers and founding fathers, David Sears. With his vision and foresight, he built the first dam and saw mill on the Mississippi River, which contributed greatly to the development of the City of Moline.
