Between now until the end of February, you can make your lunch count by dining at California Pho Restaurant, 3559 West Kimberly Road in Davenport on Wednesdays. During this period, a percentage of proceeds from meals to the 46th Annual Quad Cities CROP Hunger Walk.
Everyone is invited to dine and share with friends and family as well.
CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events sponsored by Church World Service and organized by religious groups, businesses, schools and others to raise funds to end hunger in the U.S. and around the world.
For almost half a century, the Quad Cities has raised money to combat hunger locally and globally. The local organizations that benefit from the fundraising efforts are: Humility of Mary Shelter, Churches United Hunger Ministries, Scott County Meals on Wheels, Riverbend Food Bank, Kids' Café/Backpack Program, Expanded Food and Nutrition Program, and Christian Care.
About the 46th Annual Quad Cities Crop Walk -
• 400 people came together at the 46th Annual QC CROP Hunger Walk on October 1, 2017, but funds are still being collected wiith more than $40,000 raised to fight against hunger!
