Back by popular demand, the Luciano Antonio Brazilian Quartet returns to present two free public events at Knox College.  Luciano Antonio's work as a guitarist and singer showcases a contemporary jazz interpretation of traditional Brazilian folk music. A native of rural southern Brazil, he performs throughout the Chicago area and across the country.

At 4pm in Jay Rehearsal Hall, join the Luciano Antonio Brazilian Quartet and play Brazilian percussion instruments, including the tamborim, surdo drum, shakers and agogo bells. Attendees will have the chance to participate in a traditional Brazilian Batucada, a sub-style of samba drumming. No musical experience or background is required and the workshop is open to all ages.

At 7:30 the quartet will present a concert in Kresge Recital Hall.
