"From Earth to the Universe" on the Discovery Dome

Humanity has marveled at the night sky for millennia, but only recently have we begun to grasp our place in the cosmos. Discover how mankind's understanding of the universe has changed through the centuries and learn about the giant telescopes of today that allow us to explore what was once unimaginable with “From Earth to the Universe.”

The Dome experience is fully immersive, and viewers are presented with videos and images from a 360-degree projector in front, behind, above and on both sides of their seat. Everyone is able to partake in the Discovery Dome experience as the dome has a full-size stand-up door which guests can walk through; no crawling or shoe removal is necessary. The door is also wheelchair accessible.

“From Earth to the Universe” will play at 11 a.m., noon and 2 p.m.

Cost is $4 for Discovery Dome by itself; $2.50 Discovery Dome add-on to exhibit admission.

To purchase tickets, visit the Putnam ticketing counter the day of the show.
