A show that combines humor, magic, death-defying stunts and acts of wonder is something I don’t want to miss. You don’t either! The Illusionists are coming to the Adler Theatre in downtown Davenport on Monday, Oct. 12 for two evening shows.
Here’s what to expect from the seven stars:
The Manipulator, Yu Ho-Jin
Ho-Jin was recently named the 2014 “Magician of the Year,” by Academy of Magical Arts and is considered a rising star.
The Anti-Conjuror, Dan Sperry
Sperry is one of the top-10 most Googled people, thanks to an “America’s Got Talent” appearance. He’s described as Marilyn Manson meets David Copperfield.
The Trickster, Jeff Hobson
Hobson is all about glamour and showmanship. He make look innocent, but will keep you laughing.
The Escapologist, Andrew Basso
From Italy, Basso is becoming one of the world’s popular illusionists. He’s the only person in the world to perfect for the Water Torture Cell with no covers (inspired by his hero Houdini).
The Inventor, Kevin James
Known for innovation, James is an inventor, comedian and collector of the strange and unusual. He’s created some of the most celebrated illusions of the last century.
The Weapon Master, Ben Blaque
Blaque is a crossbow master and has appeared on “America’s Got Talent” four times. His performances are highly dangerous, using crossbows to shoot objects supported by his assistant.
The Daredevil, Jonathan Goodwin
One of the most creative stunt performers in the world, Goodwin has been hanged, buried alive, hung by his toes from helicopters, burned at the stake, and attacked by sharks.
