The TBK Bank Sports Complex is a newly opened sports and entertainment facility located in Bettendorf at 4850 Competition Drive. This massive place sprawls out over 77-acres with both indoor and outdoor sporting fields as well as a double-decker bowling alley, an arcade complete with escape rooms and laser tag, three bars, two restaurants, and a full-scale fitness center!
I recently took a trip out to the TBK Bank Sports Complex to see it for myself. (Local residents have nicknamed it “BettPlex”.) This facility is massive and has endless amounts of potential as far as how local Quad Citians can use it and offering a major tourism draw for visitors.
The indoor portion of the Sports Complex features a multipurpose turf field, 8 basketball/volleyball courts, 4 sand volleyball courts, and a fitness center. The outdoor part has 2 soccer fields, 5 sand volleyball courts, and 10 baseball/softball diamonds. Both share a bar and grill called DIGS next to the sand volleyball courts. All spaces are available for rental, whether for a tournament, team practice, individual use or private parties. Any inquires can be made via their website.
Level II Fitness is their fitness center that features different membership options, personal trainers, and drop-in classes and rates. They offer no-contract options as well as a membership buy-out program if you’re contractually obligated elsewhere. There is also Physical Therapy located on-site, available for all athletes.
The complex also houses High 5 Lanes and Games, a double-decker bowling alley, complete with a restaurant and two bars. We stopped in on a Monday evening, which featured burger baskets and enjoyed a burger and some Southwest Chicken Eggrolls…which were delicious.
After eating we checked out the massive arcade and played a few games. Afterwards we decided to try out an Escape Room, there were two different rooms, one being more difficult than the other. We went for the easier of the two and had a blast trying to figure out puzzle and clues to solve a mystery. It was $20 per person, however they have specials on the rooms on Tuesday and Thursdays.
This incredibly impressive facility was a great time. It is a haul for many of us in the Quad Cities, but once we made it there it was a fun evening out. Whether you’re an athlete looking to train or play in a new place or a needing a fun night out, family friendly or otherwise, I recommend going to checking out the TBK Bank Sports Complex. Their hours are Monday through Sunday, 6am – 10:30pm.
