Kwik Star Festival of Trees continues through Sunday. Don’t miss this treasured holiday tradition by Quad City Arts featuring over 150 designer displays with trees, holiday rooms, wreaths, decorated fireplace mantles, and gingerbread village creations at the RiverCenter in downtown Davenport.
The River Music Experience has two shows Thanksgiving weekend. On Friday it’s an AC/DC tribute called Back in Black at 8 pm and Saturday night is a free show with Davina & the Vagabonds at 7:30 pm.
Try some local craft beers at the Frogtown Craft Beer Festival on Saturday from 1-4 pm at The Rust Belt in East Moline. This event will offer samples from 35 plus Breweries, live entertainment from Lewis Knudsen on the main stage, Food Truck Grub, Games and more!
The 30th Annual Quad City Christmas Arts and Craft Fair is at the QCCA Expo in Rock Island. It is the largest indoor handicraft fair in the area with over 10,000 in attendance each year. The Quad City Christmas Arts & Craft Fair is 85% country crafts and 15% fine arts.
Quad City Storm have back to back hockey matches against the Evansville Thunderbolts on Friday and Saturday nights at the TaxSlayer Center in downtown Moline at 7:10 pm.
Enjoy the historic buildings beautifully decorated at the Walnut Grove Pioneer Village on Sunday from 12-4 p.m. Visit with Santa Claus and enjoy make & take crafts, refreshments, and much more. Admission is free with a North Scott Food Pantry Donation! Walnut Grove in the Scott County Park in Long Grove, Iowa, was a Scott County crossroads settlement and stagecoach stop in the 1860s.
A Quad Cities tradition is just around the corner – 19th Century Christmas at Butterworth Center & Deere-Wiman House on Sunday in Moline, Ill., is Sunday, December 1 from 12-5 p.m. Free family activities are planned for all ages, from Santa handing out books to children in the Butterworth Education Center to cookies and punch for all visitors in the elegant Butterworth Center dining room.
You are invited to the annual “Winter in Bloom” holiday open house at the Hauberg Estate on Sunday in Rock Island, Ill., from 12-5 p.m. With every room elegantly decorated, it’s the perfect place to take holiday photos with friends and family.
