Largest public art display in Iowa

The Figge Art Museum is home to Iowa's largest public art display, and one of the largest public art displays in the country. Commissioned in honor of the building's 20th anniversary, world-renowned artist Leo Villareal created the piece using a mile of LED lighting wrapped around all four sides of the museum. Inspired by the movement of the Mississippi River, this art installation has constant colorized movement that never repeats.
