QC Live Theatre & Dance

From local community theatre and professional dinner theater to ballet and Broadway productions, the growing performance schedule in the QC continues to offer up comedy, drama, contemporary theatre, and beautiful ballet performances.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Circa 21’ Dinner Playhouse in Rock Island is set in an amazing, historic Vaudeville-era theatre, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Adler Theatre in Davenport presents its Broadway at the Adler series each year and hosts numerous concerts and shows.

Still in need of a musical fix? Since 1949, Quad City Music Guild has been presenting community theatre musicals in the Prospect Park Theater. Playcrafters Barn Theatre in Moline has been entertaining audiences with great dramas and comedies for decades in what was once a dairy barn.

Community theatre thrives in the QC. You can experience a variety of theatrical productions in a more intimate setting like The Black Box Theatre or a beautiful historic setting at The Spotlight Theatre, both in downtown Moline.

Shakespeare anyone? Founded in 1956, Genesius Guild provides free, open-air summer community theater, including Greek tragedy in mask, opera in English, Shakespearean comedies and tragedies, and Greek comedy in contemporary re-writes.

Wanna dance? Launched as a professional dance company in 1996, Ballet Quad Cities is one of our Midwest region’s premier arts organizations, garnering critical praise for its stunning performances. Ballet Quad Cities is the longest-running resident professional ballet company in the entire state of Iowa and western Illinois, one of only 100 in the nation.
