African Painted Dog Day

Join us at Niabi Zoo as we celebrate these big-eared beauties and the important role that carnivores such as endangered African Painted Dogs play in their ecosystem. Niabi’s Conservation Educators and volunteers will have hands-on activities throughout the day at the Painted Dog Habitat observation decks and the Conservation Station.

Activities: You can paint a painted dog, solve puzzles for prizes, and purchase unique gift items to support Painted Dog Research in Zimbabwe. Enter a drawing to win a prize baskets featuring snare wire art, a Painted Dog Research sticker and the children’s book, A Dog Named Circus, published by Painted Dog Research. All proceeds go directly to supporting our conservation partner, Painted Dog Research.
