Soul of the City 2026

Join the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center for Soul of the City 2026, an outdoor community celebration of culture, diversity, strong neighborhoods, and families.

Nearly 5,000 people attended last year, making this one of Rock Island’s largest community celebrations. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.

The day begins with the Soul of the City Parade at 10:00 a.m., stepping off from Frances Willard Elementary School (25th Avenue & 9th Street) and traveling north on 9th Street before ending at Franklin Field.
