Try Out Slow Art and Yin Yoga
Join us in observing a piece of art for a couple of minutes, followed by meditative yin yoga practice led by Becky Nakashima Brooke. The class will end with savasana.
Slow art is the practice of spending more time observing art. The average person spends 8-30 seconds observing a piece of art. Slow art will allow you more time to connect with the art. The piece of art will be chosen for the class to view.
Yin yoga is the practice of using seated and lying down poses to target the connective tissues around the joints, tendons, and fascia. We linger in the poses anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes. The time will be kept by Becky, but each of the students will have the freedom to adjust when needed. This practice is beneficial for all levels.
