St Patrick Society Grand Parade XL

The St. Patrick Society marks 40 years with the presentation of Grand Parade XL on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Parade organizers are most interested in participants expressing the spirit of St. Patrick and Irish Heritage. We welcome family walking units and Irish-themed decorated floats. Grand Parade day begins at 10:00AM with Mass at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 2208 4th Ave., Rock Island.

The Nation’s only bi-state Grand Parade honoring St. Patrick will start promptly at 11:30AM at the corner of 4th Avenue and 23rd Street in Rock Island, Illinois.

The parade will march west from 4th Avenue and 23rd Street to 20th Street, turning north to 3rd Avenue and then west to 17th Street, turning north to 2nd Avenue then west to the Talbot/Centennial Bridge and crossing into Davenport - continuing north on Gaines to W. Third Street and proceeding east to the RiverCenter at E.Third and Perry Streets.

Iowa-bound traffic on the Talbot/Centennial Bridge will be detoured to the Arsenal Bridge or I-280 from 11AM to approximately 1:30PM. Illinois-bound traffic only will proceed to the Illinois-bound lanes from the on-ramp to the bridge at W. 2nd Street and Brown in Davenport.

The Post-Parade Bash will take place at the RiverCenter from 1-4PM. The Barley House Band, Wylde Nept, and the Champagne Academy of Irish Dance will perform. Admission is by St. Patrick Society membership; annual $20 memberships can be purchased at the door.Membership is the single largest source of funding for the Grand Parade.

One day before The Grand Parade, Friday, March 13, the Grand Marshal, Irish Mother of the Year, and two 2026Scholarship recipients will be introduced at the Gathering of the Clan Luncheon at the RiverCenter. For Luncheon reservations contact: [email protected].
