Best of the Wurst 2026

 Sample local brats, purchase a variety of delicious food, enjoy an ice cold beer or pop, and vote for your favorite “wurst!”

 

 Jerry’s Market will serve up a number of sausages for you to vote the Best of the Wurst, and with live entertainment from the Guttenberg German Band (1-4pm), this event is sure to be a great time.

 

 There will be brats, German and American beer, activities for kids and adults, and free ice cream. And, you can browse our museum exhibitions and visit our gift shop, too.

 

Members get FREE admission to the event, and the entrance fee for non-members is only $5 - tickets are available at the door. Guests under 12 are free.

The Guttenberg German Band is a 15-20-piece group playing traditional German music, including marches, polkas and waltzes.

 

The band is based out of Guttenberg, Iowa and surrounding area. Its members come from all walks of life, and practice and play together for the love of German music. The group has played for many events over the years in Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois. In the fall of 2005, the band toured and played in Austria and Germany, and in the fall of 2010 in Switzerland and Germany.
