A free, family-friendly event featuring multiple bags tournaments with cash prizes, live outdoor music, food and drink vendors, children’s activities and more!
Be Downtown is the finale Bettendorf birthday celebration. Come celebrate, meet new friends, throw some bags, discover what’s new in Downtown Bettendorf and maybe even win some cash. Make a #BettonDowntown for a great celebration.
THREE BAGS TOURNEYS
New this year at Be Downtown, the DBO will be partnering with 4 City Cornhole for 2 to 3 separate bags tournaments.
Tournaments will be held at 12 and 3 p.m. A possible 3rd tournament beginning at 6 p.m.
Be Downtown Bags Tourney Tournament Rules:
- Blind Draw Tournament (random partners)
- All skill levels are welcome
- Bring your own bags
- Double Elimination tourneys
- First team to 21 and/or over wins (we don’t play bust rule)
- Coin flip or bag spin to see who throws first or picks sides.
- Must stand on same side as partner

Registration will be on-site 1 hour prior to each tournament. Have the app downloaded and get there early to register.
Each tournament will have cash prizes of $300 for 1st, $200 for 2nd, and $100 for 3rd place finishers. Did we mention it is free to play?
BANDS ALL-DAY
Beginning at Noon, live music will be provided in two-hour sets throughout the day by area bands Doug Brundies, Threat Level Midnight, Panic River Band and Diplomats of Solid Sound. Late night live music will continue at two downtown Bettendorf businesses, including Harley Corin’s (featuring Big Hair Mafia), Purgatory’s Pub and Riverside Grille.
BITES AND BEVERAGES
Verde, a contemporary Mexican restaurant located at The Bridges, will offer food and an outdoor bar for alcohol and other beverage sales.
Food trucks will serve food Noon to 6 p.m. including:
- Quick E’s Tacos
- Schaa-Bo’s Korean Fusion
- Smokin Goodness BBQ
- Sweet Tooth Snacks sweet treats
K&K FAMILY FUN ZONE
The K&K Family Fun Zone will run from Noon to 6 p.m. and have bounce houses, bubble stations and a hands-on science station by Absolute Science.
FREE PARKING
Parking for the event includes on-street parking on State and Grant Streets plus at multiple lots in downtown Bettendorf, including:
- 15th St. and Grant St. (TBK Bank building lot) available after 1 p.m.
- 18th and Mississippi St. (Asbury Methodist Church lot)
- 18th St. and Grant St. (City of Bettendorf lot)
- Bettendorf City Hall
- Former Village Inn parking lot at 1210 State St.
- Motorcycle parking on 15th also will be available
Patrons are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
