Bike Rental FAQs:

Is there anything I need to bring to rent a bike?

Renters will need to bring their driver's license/ID and credit card in case of any incidentals, and you must sign a waiver. We will make a photo copy of your driver's license/ID and credit card upon renting.

How will I know if there are bikes available?

Bikes are offered on a first-come first-served basis, but feel free to contact our destination centers to ask about bike availability.

Here are our office phone numbers:

Moline River Station: (309) 736-6833

Davenport Union Station: (309) 736-6834

Where can I find trails and flooding information?

The QC Trails - Home Page is a great resource to find accurate and up to date reports on flooding. There are paper trail maps available at both Davenport Union Staion and Moline River Station. Feel free to call either location for more information or assistance.

You can take your bike rental on the nearby Channel Cat Water Taxis for a fun way to connect with trails on both sides of the river. The Rock Island Arsenal, Centennial and I-74 Mississippi River bridges offer access to both sides of the river as well. The Moline Visit Quad Cities River station is one block away from the Great River Trail.

How tall must I be to ride a bike?

There are various sizes of bikes split between the Moline Visit Quad Cities River Station location and the Davenport Visit Quad Cities Union Station. These range from Small to Extra Large and will fit someone 5’1” to someone 6’1”. *Some are labeled in sizes S-XL, while others are by inch size. Renters must be able to safely touch both feet on the ground when sitting on the bike in order to rent. Regardless of age, we will need a photo ID for any incidentals. Minors must have a parent or guardian with them to rent.

How can I include my kids?

There are two buggies ONLY at the Davenport Visit Quad Cities Union Station available for rent for children not big enough to ride the bikes. Each buggie has a maximum capacity of 100 pounds, allowing for either two children weighing 50 pounds each or one child weighing 75 pounds. The buggy is an added feature to the bike rental just like a helmet or lock. We have two children's helmet for the buggy. You may also call ahead to check the buggy availability.

What all comes with the bike?

Each bike comes with water bottle holders, kick stands, bells, & a small pouch attached to the bicycle for the ease of the renter. The bike seats on the bikes are adjustable up and down. Included in the pouch is our toll free line along with the phone numbers of two of our team members, Brittany & Cassidy, in the event someone has an accident or needs assistance.

Are there bike locks or helmets?

Yes! Helmets and locks are an option during the rental process but are not required. There are different size helmets, and they are also adjustable. There should be a size for everyone’s head!
