Eldridge’s main street area features restaurants and shops. Each year, The Moonlight Chase, one of Eastern Iowa's most unique road races, takes to the streets of Eldridge. The entire 4-mile course is lined with luminaries. The evening includes 1/4 mile and 1-mile runs for kids, as well as the 4-mile competition. The Moonlight Chase is the pinnacle event to the Eldridge Festival which includes live music under the stars. The event takes place the second weekend in July.
