Colonel Davenport House

The Colonel Davenport House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is a circa 1833 structure and was considered a mansion of its time. On your guided tour, see artifacts representative of the early to mid-1800s that reflect the lifestyle of the Davenport family, such as furniture, draperies, dishes, floor coverings, decorations, and ornamentations. The house is open for guided tours Friday and Saturday from 12-4 pm May to October.

The all-volunteer, non-profit Colonel Davenport Historical Foundation staffed and maintained the house and grounds.

Directions: Use Hillman Ave. from Rodman Ave. to get to the house on the Island's Northside. All visitors must use the Moline, Illinois gate to access Arsenal Island. A U.S. photo ID is needed for persons 16 years and older. See the map at www.davenporthouse.org
