Located at 322 N Brady St. in the heart of Downtown Davenport, Iowa, Ecdysiast Arts Museum serves as a multidisciplinary community concept for the Quad Cities. What is an Ecdysiast? /ekˈdēzēəst/ Noun: A dancer who removes their clothes as a form of entertainment, a burlesque performer. Above all, WE ARE A BURLESQUE MUSEUM, a deep-dive ecdysiast costume, photo, and memorabilia archive, as well as a place to celebrate the Ecdysiast Arts while exploring the complex history behind the Art of the Tease. In addition, we are also a venue space available to rent for alternative weddings, bachelorette parties, open mics, dance parties, live music, educational panels, etc., as well as a burlesque club offering weekly affordable events, and a true safe space for queer community. We are equipped with a full-service bar, a DJ booth, a projector, a sound and light system, and a beautiful performance space. Our multi-level museum also houses an impressive book library, photo studio, content creation space, a vintage clothing and costume shop, a food pantry for our downtown community, and SO MUCH MORE.
