Quad City Arts is a local arts organization serving a six-county area in eastern Iowa and northwestern Illinois. We are dedicated to the growth and vitality of the Quad City region through the presentation, development, and celebration of the arts by offering the community arts opportunities, programming, and events including:

Festival of Trees - a spectacular 10 day event that ushers in the season and Quad City Arts' largest fundraiser. Recognized as one of the top 100 events in North America, the festival has raised over $7 million in support of local arts over a 30-plus year period. Festival features many different attractions unique to the Quad City area, including: Tinsel Treasures Gift Shop featuring Isabel Bloom exclusives; original holiday decor for your home created by our local designers including holiday trees, doors, rooms, holiday entries, hearth & homes, miniatures and gingerbread houses; the largest, helium-filled balloon parade in the country, featuring many huge character balloons, the Distinguished Clown Corps, and local area talents; an entire holiday winter wonderland for children complete with Santa himself including fun festive activities for the whole family....and so much more!

Visiting Artist Series - residencies by world-renowned artists providing informal performances and discussions in schools, workplaces, and human-service agencies. Ten to fifteen performances are presented annually in public concert halls.

Public Art Program - Facilitates the integration of art by national, regional and local artists into the daily lives of the community by putting art in public places. Current public art projects include an art gallery and large mural inside the Quad City International Airport and public sculptures on view outdoors throughout Bettendorf, Davenport, and Rock Island.

Rock Island Art Gallery - features new major exhibitions by regional artists every two months, plus fine art and crafts by over 85 regional artists in our gallery store. Hours are: Mondays by appointment, Tue-Fri. 10-5 and Saturdays 11-5. Free admission.

Metro Arts Youth Apprenticeship Program - Since the summer of 2000, Metro Arts has provided area youth 15-21 years old with paid summer apprenticeships in various arts disciplines. The program provides opportunities for youth and enhances the community through the arts. For five weeks, area youth work together in groups to complete art projects under the supervision and mentorship of professional artists. Participants learn the artistic techniques and applications of their particular genre while developing personally and professionally. Murals and street paintings throughout the Quad Cities are the lasting legacy of programs past.
