Hauberg Estate

The historic Hauberg Estate in Rock Island offers a number of different guided tours throughout the year. Located at 1300 24th Street, this unique historic home was built in 1909 in the popular Prairie School style. The gardens were designed by famous landscape architect Jens Jensen and are open all year. The home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was designed by Chicago architect, Robert C. Spencer, a contemporary of Frank Lloyd Wright. Learn more about the history of the home, the architecture and the family that lived there on a 45-minute guided tour offered on Fridays at 1p.m. Check the website for information on special tours from virtual and video, to architectural and mechanical. A booklet takes you on a free self-guided tour of the historic grounds. The downloadable brochure featuring all the tours is available online (www.haubergestate.org ). Admission is $10 per person, 12 and under are free. For groups of 10 or more, please make a reservation (309-373-5080).

Ideal for social event rentals in the Mansion, Carriage House or Front Lawn, Celebrate weddings, receptions, business meetings, retreats, showers, graduation and birthday parties, as well as, other celebrations. The Hauberg Estate is available year-round for your next event. Known as the “Tulip Mansion,” the Hauberg Estate was home to Susanne and John Hauberg from 1911 to 1955, and the children donated the house to the City in 1956. The estate is managed and operated by the Friends of Hauberg Foundation, a 501c(3) non-profit.
