The Bix Beiderbecke Museum and Archive are a downtown Davenport Museum honoring the legacy of jazz musician Leon "Bix" Beiderbecke, a Davenport native.
The museum houses the world’s largest collection of artifacts from Bix's life, including artifacts from the lives of various musicians who played with Bix throughout his career. Their permanent exhibit space gives visitors the unique opportunity to learn about one of America’s most influential Jazz Icons, his colleagues, and their influences on American music to this day.
Construction on the museum continues through the 2025 QC Museum Month, but guests can enjoy virtual tour options. One is a YouTube video series on our YouTube channel you can view here https://youtube.com/@bixmuseum?si=DbTVqCQbFyU12xz4 and the other is a walking tours app of Bix sites in Davenport you can view here https://bixtours.stqry.app/1 the app is also available to download on IOS and Android app stores.
