Black Hawk College is a part of the National Junior College Athletic Association Region IV. They have a total of eight teams. For men’s sports this includes baseball, basketball, golf, and soccer. Women’s sports include basketball, softball, volleyball, and soccer. The past couple of years have shown some great successes for Black Hawk College athletics. Women’s basketball was nationally ranked for the first time in program history last year, they ended with a 22-10 record and won conference for second consecutive year. The golf team ended last season as the team with the highest average GPA, they placed 3rd at the regional and competed at National Tournament. In the summer of 2022, an $11 million project was started to update the baseball and softball facilities. A lighted turf complex with restrooms, concessions, batting cages, and press boxes was created. The official opening of the fields will happen on October 14, 2023 with their annual alumni game. The soccer teams practice at Jacobs Park in East Moline, and the golf team’s home course is the Pinnacle Country Club in Milan. The basketball and volleyball teams both use the main gymnasium.
