Quad Cities Craft Community Celebrates Anniversary of QC Ale Trail

May 15, 2020

Quad Cities (Friday, May 15, 2020) – Visit Quad Cities and local craft breweries gathered one year ago this weekend to celebrate the launch of the new QC Ale Trail.  The QC Ale Trail invites beer lovers on a self-guided tour of the local craft breweries across the Quad Cities region.

After the initial launch with a paper passport, Visit Quad Cities introduced a newly-redesigned website at qcaletrail.com with an online store for QC Ale Trail merchandise, and the new option to use your mobile phone to check-in at the breweries to earn the commemorative QC Ale Trail items.  Visit four breweries to earn an engraved bottle opener; visit all the breweries to earn a commemorative QC Ale Trail pint glass.

Throughout the past year, hundreds of craft beer lovers from 15 different states have blazed the QC Ale Trail.

“Successful destinations have vibrant, creative, and strong local craft beer curators,” said Dave Herrell, President and CEO, Visit Quad Cities.  “We are proud to celebrate, raise a glass, and share this milestone with our QC craft industry and community.  They are important to our region’s future and we encourage all craft beer loving Quad Citizens and visitors to continue to blaze the QC Ale Trail.”

Visit Quad Cities put together a brief video with help from the local breweries.
