Quad Cities Selected to Host Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship

(Coal Valley, Illinois) April 10, 2024 - The 2024 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Women's Golf Championship will take place at Oakwood Country Club in Coal Valley, Ill., on April 26-28. This year's Championship marks the 25th annual event and the first year at this course. 

The GLVC Championship features a 54-hole stroke play event where the individual medalist will be awarded. The top four teams after stroke play will then compete in medal/match play to determine the team champion. A total of 36 holes are played on Friday, April 26, followed by 18 holes on Saturday, April 27. The semifinals and finals of match play will take place on Sunday, April 28. 

“The GLVC is excited to host its 2024 Women’s Golf Championship in the Quad Cities at Oakwood Country Club for the first time on April 26-28,” said Lindsey Williams, GLVC Assistant Commissioner for Strategic Communications. “We look forward to experiencing what the area has to offer in support of creating a memorable event for our 12 league teams and over 60 student-athletes.” 

The GLVC Women's Golf Championship will be streamed live and free on all GLVC Sports Network (GLVCSN) platforms, including GLVCSN.com, iOS/Android mobile apps, and Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV OTT apps. A complete schedule will be announced during Championship week.
