Quad Cities, IL/IA (May 11, 2026) - The Rock Island Arsenal Trail will officially launch today, May 11, 2026. Located in the heart of the Quad Cities, the Rock Island Arsenal occupies a 946-acre island in the Mississippi River. This historic military installation has played a vital role in major American conflicts, from the Civil War to the present day, since its establishment in 1862.
