Visit Quad Cities President and CEO to Chair Illinois Council of Convention & Visitor Bureaus

The Illinois Council of Convention & Visitor Bureaus (ICCVB) has announced its full slate of officers and directors for the fiscal year 2023-2024 which will become effective July 1, 2023. Dave Herrell, President and CEO, Visit Quad Cities, was named as Chairman. Herrell serves as ICCVB’s current chairman and fiscal year 2023-2024 will mark his third year leading the non-profit association.
This industry-led group works with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, Office of Tourism, and the Governor’s Office to enable its members to be effectively and efficiently attract visitors to their communities. ICCVB represents destination marketing organizations throughout the entire state and is composed of hundreds of industry professionals which are driving positive results for Illinois’ visitor economy.
ICCVB provides educational opportunities that raise the level of professionalism in the travel industry, and it provides a forum for networking and cooperative action between the members. The organization also maintains a proactive legislative and advocacy effort on issues that affect tourism in Illinois.
