Visit Quad Cities Releases New 2020 Experience Guide
January 21, 2020
Quad Cities (January 21, 2020) – Visit Quad Cities has officially released its new 2020 Quad Cities Experience Guide. This year’s publication showcases a new direction from previous guides by featuring stories on the Quad Cities written by Quad Citizens. The new direction by Visit Quad Cities brings more storytelling into their marketing efforts and creates a unique voice for the bi-state region.
The live music scene in the QC is captured through the writing of Tyson Danner, Executive Director at the River Music Experience in Davenport. The region’s craft breweries are highlighted by local blogger Deborah Davis, known as the “QC Ale Girl.” Additional story content is provided by Quad Citizens on museums, live music, theatre, visual arts, tours, shopping, golf, and outdoor adventures.
In addition to the story content, the 56-page guide includes a comprehensive directory. There, people can find addresses, websites, and phone numbers for QC attractions, festivals & events, dining, sports teams, entertainment, and other partner businesses.
“The new format gives a voice to the Quad Cities story. Stories that are told by the people that live, work, and play here,” said Charlotte Doehler-Morrison, Vice President Marketing & Communications, Visit Quad Cities. “Besides our website, social media platforms, and out-of-market advertising, the Quad Cities Experience Guide is another important part of our promotional toolbox. The guide gives us the ability to disseminate more in-depth information on our bi-state region into the hands of residents and visitors.”
The new Quad Cities Experience Guide is complimentary to anyone who would like one and can be ordered online at www.visitquadcities.com or picked up at the Visit Quad Cities Visitor Center at 1601 River Drive, Suite 110 in Moline, Ill. Additionally, the guide is also available online at www.visitquadcities.com in a flipping book format, which is also mobile-friendly and links directly to the websites of the businesses and attractions featured in the guide.
Visit Quad Cities is also in the process of a complete rebuild and redesign of its website www.visitquadcities.com. The site will be completed in the next couple of months.
Founded in 1990, Visit Quad Cities is the official Destination Marketing and Management Organization (DMMO) for the region.
