Explore East Moline, Illinois

Affectionately referred to as EasMo, East Moline is located next door to Moline (just East, really) on the Illinois side of the Mississippi River in the Quad Cities region.

East Moline has begun a major riverfront revitalization on the land that housed the former Case IH plant. Called The Bend, it includes a new hotel property with beautiful river views, Riverside Park outdoor amphitheater, an upscale restaurant called The Combine, a meeting venue, a large exhibition hall, apartments, and future development opportunities. Also, be sure to join us in the Riverview Room for a Sunset Shot—a Hyatt House/Hyatt Place tradition.

Nearby, a former manufacturing plant from the early 1900s is another new addition to East Moline. The refurbished, mixed-use industrial brick building houses numerous businesses. The Rust Belt provides unique warehouse music and event venue for a range of musicians, comedians, and other artists to entertain audiences up 4,000.  Not just for concerts, The Rust Belt has hosted weddings, vendor shows, wrestling, and more. You’ll also find Midwest Ale Works microbrewery, a Mexican restaurant, coffee shop, and other businesses.

John Deere Harvester Works is one of the largest combine factories in the world.  The renovated visitor center and gift shop provide a great place to learn about the history of this great company. Make reservations for a free tour when the factory is in production.

Notable events include Cinco De Mayo, Freedom Fest, and the Lighted Christmas Parade in December.

The paved riverfront Great River Trail continues its path through East Moline. Also, take the kids to Empire Park featuring a giant wooden jungle gym. Afterward stop at Frank’s Pizza, one of the originators of Quad Cities-style pizza.
